When creating a resume, it is important to highlight specific technical skills that are relevant to the job you are applying for. In Canada, there are in-demand fields that require specific technical skills. For instance, basic accounting or bookkeeping skills may include invoicing, collections, payments, account reconciliation, and proficiency in software such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and Xero. Data analysis skills may range from a thorough knowledge of relational database theory and practice to strong writing and verbal skills. Cybersecurity is top of mind for organizations that deal with sensitive or proprietary client information. Specific in-demand skills in data privacy will depend on the position and field.
